'Mother Night' is based around the Kurt Vonnegut book of the same name which explores themes of war, loss of identity, captivity but also love and humanity. This exhibition consists of work from six second year artists from the University of Lincoln including sculptures, installations, projections and paintings. Vonnegut's book inspired each artist differently and so the work reflects their own individual interpretation of the story, leading the audience through one man's life journey. Each piece is unique and tells its own narrative in relation to the exhibition and also the artists' own interests. The setting of St. Swithin's Church plays on the theme of confused identity since an exhibition which handles strong, and often controversial themes, isn't expected to be found in such a pure and beautiful venue. Exhibition Open Wednesday 6th May until Wednesday 13th May.
